sir
my charger is not working and i'll have to buy a new one. i want to know that the new charger which i would buy would have warranty even if my warranty period of laptop expires?? I mean would it be under new warranty?? Since i know now laptop chargers and batteries are not covered under warranty beyond 1 year, does the new charger would have the warranty for next 1 year ??

The "remainder of original warranty" would apply only if you have HP actually do the replacement under warranty. Most sellers of replacement adapters at retail actually will offer a longer warranty typically 2-5 years. HP will warrant replacement adapters purchased through the shop for one year I believe.

Hi,
This is a good question actually. From my experinces, its warranty starts with the laptop for 1 year that means its current warranty is the leftover of 1 year.
Hope some one would give more experiences.
Regards.
