Hi @BIGblue27

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Experiencing boot errors such as the Driver PNP Watchdog and BitLocker key recognition issues can be troubling. Let's go through some steps to help resolve these issues:

Confirm BitLocker Key:

  • Ensure you have the correct BitLocker recovery key. You can obtain it from your Microsoft account if the device is linked to it.
  • Visit Microsoft's BitLocker Recovery page for instructions on finding your key.

Safe Mode and Advanced Recovery Options:

  • Since you mentioned safe mode and other recovery options are not available, try accessing them through Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE):
    • Power off your laptop, then power it on. As it starts up, hold down the power button to force shut down. Repeat this three times. On the fourth startup, let it proceed, and Windows may enter the Recovery Environment.
    • From WinRE, you can attempt "Startup Repair" or use "Advanced Options" to disable BitLocker.

BIOS Update:

  • Since you have identified a BIOS update, ensure you download the correct update from the HP support website:
    • Use another computer to download the BIOS update from the HP Drivers & Downloads page by searching for your model: HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13-aw2003dx.
    • Follow instructions carefully to create a BIOS update USB flash drive.

Creating a Windows Recovery USB:

  • If accessible, create a recovery USB on another computer not restricted by Windows 10 in S Mode:
    • Download the Windows Installation Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website.
    • Follow the prompts to create a bootable USB that allows recovery or reinstallation of Windows.

Access BIOS for Settings and Boot Options:

  • Ensure BitLocker is disabled in BIOS if possible.
  • Set the USB drive as the first boot device to attempt booting from recovery USB.

If you are having difficulty downloading files because the PC you're using is in S Mode, consider using a different computer that doesn't have restrictions affecting downloads and installations.
