dv6 3210us : UnKnown Devices on PCI Express Root Complex

I have the same "UnKnown Devices on PCI Express Root Complex" driver problem.
None of the posted solutions work for me. I need help with this.

You need this driver for that device...

This package provides the HP 3D DriveGuard software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. HP 3D DriveGuard protects the hard drive by "parking the heads" if the notebook is accidentally dropped or is abruptly impacted by another object.

Now it appears as though we're getting somewhere...

Not only did I upgrade the OS. I also upgraded my dv6 3210us with an SSD. I previously tried uninstalling the "unknown device" in device manager, to no avail. Upon restart, the "unknown device" reference reappears in device manager.

Since you installed a SSD, you really don't need that driver because there are no moving drive heads to park.

What you can try is to just install the driver and not the controlling software as follows...

Go to the device manager.  Click on the unknown device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp64144.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.

If not, I would not worry about it since it is N/A with a SSD installed.
