Hi, my elitebook x360 1030 g2 had a main battery that got weak - and we got it replaced. The new battery works but we noticed that the laptop doesn’t keep trine  now in Windows 10 (whenever it is turned off and not connected to the mains.) We understand that there is no CMOS battery to replace in this model, but is there anything else to do? Some missing or disconnected cable from the main battery to the laptop that the technician forgot to connect?

Many thanks …

There does exist the possibility that the battery connector is not fully seated.

Thank you... I've checked. All seems to be connected...

Had you considered going into the BIOS and setting the time and date?

Power on and immediately tap the F10 key to enter the BIOS.

On the Main page you will find time and date.

Set the time and date and then press the F10 key.

Click on yes to save the changes and exit

Hi, isn't setting the time in Windows equivalent technically to setting the time in the Bios? thanks

HP Recommended

No. It is not.

BIOS is at the  firmware level.
