Hi @divyag,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand that when you are trying to use the PC with a charge, you can hear the fan making noise on the HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3X9AV)

1. Clean Your Laptop’s Vents and Fan

Regular cleaning can significantly reduce fan noise:

  1. Power off your laptop and unplug it
  2. Use compressed air to blow dust out of the fan vents and other vents
  3. If comfortable, open the laptop case to clean the fan directly (check your warranty first)

2. Manage Running Programs

Reduce the load on your CPU to minimize fan noise:

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)
  2. Identify resource-heavy programs
  3. Close unnecessary applications

3. Update Drivers and Software

Keeping your system up-to-date can improve efficiency:

  1. Check for operating system updates
  2. Update device drivers, especially for your GPU
  3. Install the latest BIOS version for your laptop model

4. Adjust Power Settings

Optimise your power plan to reduce heat generation:

  1. Open your laptop’s power options
  2. Select a balanced or power-saver plan
  3. Adjust advanced settings to limit the maximum processor state

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
