Hi,

I have a Pavilion 17 cd-1014na and want to know the maximum sata HDD drive it can handle? tb and dimensions.

Have the shipped sata 2tb 7mm 2.5" drive at present.

The specs of your machine is

It has 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD now and supports DUAL storage. You can add 1TB or 2TB 2.5" HDD/SSD to your machine BUT you need  Hard drive connector/cable part # L56871-001 which is available from

 

           https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=L56871-001

 

Updated:  Have the shipped sata 2tb 7mm 2.5" drive at present

Yes, they now have 4TB but in many cases 4TB HDD's are too thick. You can use 4TB for example : https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct4000mx500ssd1/ct20844840
