Your hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

If you can backup any data you can???

Thank you for the feedback. I will replace the original hard drive.
a. I attached the original hard drive to an external hard disk enclosure and copied my files to my other computer. Thank goodness.
b. When my laptop was new, I made the recovery DVDs for future use. After multiple attempts to implement a factory image, the process failed.
It is time to purchase a new hard drive.
