Start on p. 38 for removal of rear cover. Once open, M.2 slot is here:

M.2 in red circle; RAM is green square and HDD is blue rectangle

Yes but you would prefer to have the PCIe/NVME type which is 4 or 5 times faster.

Its got a big old fat heatsink on it. I would say you might have trouble with that one. Stick to something mainstream. You really can't do better than a Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
