I bought 14-ck2018TU hp laptop 8 months back, so I still have 4 months of warranty . About 15 days back, the hinge got jammed and started pushing the screen and screen back panel which soon gave way and cracked my laptop . its lid wasn't opening and closing properly and due to which there comes a scratch near power button because the force to open the laptop is now working on touch pannel . I have contaced hp service center but they are not giving me any clarity and now 3 days before crack is extended on both sides because of damage due to malfunctioning hinge. I contacted hp customer care and also went to service center where they havent told me that if it will be covered under warranty or not . now i am calling them everyday but they are not giving any satisfactory answer to my problem. This laptop have never been damaged or used improperly. There's not a single scratch or dent on laptop. Even after just regular usage for college purpose for 8 months, everytime i call to hp care they always try to procrastination.i am working on a project so I want it to be repaired as soon as possible.is this the way of working of hp service center? I also noticed after searching on internet that this is a very common problem and many customers have faced similar issues with the hinge.some of my friends also facing the same issue with the hinge on their hp laptop. So this clearly is a manufacturing problem. Hp is neither fixing this problem nor telling me if it will be covered under warranty ( I still don't know the reasons for not being covered in warranty ). This is unacceptable.
