This forum  was great a while back in helping me  get a broken hinge  repaired under warranty  but this of crap  has broken again  and I want to loosen the nut on the hinge  because now that I have it apart myself I see the problem.    I have to use pliars  just to move the hinge   it's so tight  so this time I'm drilling  through  the top case  and just attatching with screws and epoxy  but I want the hinge to move  free on that side.  The hinge cover was broken  so I cut it off already. Did I mention that HP  sucks **bleep** these days.   1.5  years of just sitting on a table in my house  and it's fallen apart  totally.  How could plastic  actually  stand up  to the pressure of a crappy hinges, Oh yea, forgot  that it isn't supposed to.  If I could just get the nut loose that's all that I need really.  Hopefully  the entire world  will see my pics of this junk hp  from the inside out  and stop buying them.   Thanks for any help

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

My son's 15-bs1xx hinges broke within four months of receiving it for Christmas.  The laptop is only used at home.  I am extremely happy that HP hasn't put stronger hinges in these laptops.  I think, after buying multiple HP laptops over the years, I am moving onto a stronger, more durable computer next time we upgrade.  My work laptop, a Dell, is so much sturdier and rugged than what HP laptops have turned into at this point.
