Gaming is all about the video card. You do have a removeable and replaceable MXM video card.
See page 28 for a list of video cards possibly installed in your laptop from the factory. Replacing and upgrading a Mobile Worstation MXM video card is nowhere near as easy as the same operation on a desktop. MXM cards are not universal plug and play and the BIOS of the laptop will limit what cards you can install and the cards are more expensive than you would wish. What will and will not work is sometimes hard to predict. The video cards offered on the Workstation machines are optimized for things like engineering CAD work not gaming. They will game to some extent but that is not their primary purpose. You want to change over to a gaming type card and that is where the difficulty comes in.
See p. 102 of the Manual for "how to".
If you want to proceed after digesting this post back and we can help you as much as possible.

One of the options is an AMD Firepro but if you switch nVidia to AMD you need a new heatsink in addition to the new video card.
Fan and heat sink assembly
For use in computers with AMD FirePro M4000 graphics cards 690628-001
use in computers with NVIDIA Quadro K2000M graphics cards 690630-001
Apparently also true even if you install the nVidia K2000M. The AMD Firepro M4000 is the strongest card offered. Here is a seller offering it for $24 which shows how obsolete it has become.
This seller says his heatsink is compatible with all 3 parts so check yours out before you buy anything new but here it is:
