You’d like to know the maximum RAM and storage upgrade options for your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-dq1xxx.

 

Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter to view your current RAM and storage details.

The 15-dq1xxx series supports up to 16GB DDR4-2666/3200 MHz RAM (2 slots, usually 8GB x 2 max). If you currently have 8GB (1x8), you can add another 8GB stick for dual-channel performance.

 

For storage, the laptop uses an M.2 NVMe SSD (commonly 256GB or 512GB). You can upgrade to 1TB or 2TB NVMe SSD. Some models also include a 2.5-inch SATA bay, if present, you can add an HDD/SSD alongside the M.2 drive.

 

To confirm before purchase, open the bottom panel and check the number of RAM slots and whether a 2.5" SATA bay is available. Match the RAM frequency (2666 MHz or 3200 MHz) with the existing module for best performance.

 

After upgrading, boot into BIOS (F10 on startup) to ensure the new RAM/SSD is detected, and in Windows open Task Manager → Performance tab to verify the changes.
