hello I have a hp pavilion x360 – 14M-CD0003DX, running windows 11, currently 8 gigs of ram, looking to upgrade to 16 gigs, is there a way to find out what is the current maker of the ram that is currently in the laptop without opening the laptop? also would like to know there are two bays? and the current ram is 8gigs not 2 4 gigs in each slot. thx!

It should tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the memory HP installed in your notebook.
The service manual indicates that your notebook has two memory slots:
The 12 GB max memory spec is incorrect.
If a memory slot can support 8 GB of memory, so can the second slot.
