OK, so according to the linked Service and Maintenance Guide, you have two memory slots: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03593041
If you only have one memory stick, you can add another 2GB stick. You need to get the same speed memory as you already have -- and the details are documented on page 2 of the linked Guide.

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Windows 32-bit can only address a little under 4GB of memory space, so if you already have 4GB in your PC, it is a waste of money to buy any more RAM.
You would need to look at the Computer Properties to see how much RAM you already have installed.
