It will switch to the dedicated video card automatically depending on the applications used. This feature is implemented in order to save power.

You could go to their website and make sure the latest driver is installed:
https://support.amd.com/en-us/download
This should also install the AMD control center that you can use to tell your PC what programs use the dedicated cards and what don't.
Also, make sure to set your details in Dark souls to low/medium as laptops generally don't have the "umph" required to run newer games at 60fps.
https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
The link above should tell you where you stand in terms of specifications with most games.

That's strange, I just looked up your model and it appears you only have an integrated intel graphics card:
If you were looking at the driver download page here:
Make sure to select Windows 7 64 bit as this is the OS your laptop came with.
There. we can see there are both AMD and Intel drivers.
THis means there may be similar models shipped with AMD processors & graphic cards as well as Intel Processors & graphic cards.
Do you see more than one display adapter in device manager?

Don't sweat it, mate.
At the very least, you know what your laptop is capable of. Make sure to use that "can you run it" website to see what games you can handle.
If you're ever in the market for a new computer, this might be something you'd want to look into:
http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-pavilion-power-desktop-580-015xt
The pavilion power desktops/laptops have very good specs and you didn't hear this from me but ... if you call sales over the phone they might offer discounts.
Cheers
