HP Notebook - 15-da0191ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone, I wanted to install ssd memory on hp 15-DA0191UR. I chose Gigabyte GP-GSM2NE3128GNTD. After installation and the first time the computer is turned on, it is detected in the BIOS, but after the next reboot, the BIOS does not see it.
Has anyone encountered such a problem?

Have you removed the SATA Hard disk?

If you did not, the notebook and OS still see it as the boot drive.

Would you mind explaining the method you used to install the operating system?

Did you use the HP Cloud recovery flash drive created by the HP Cloud recovery utility or an other method?

Yes, I deleted the SATA hard drive.

I want to use a factory flash drive with Windows 10 to install the operating system.

But, the BIOS does not see the SSD, or even the USB flash drive.

Hi,

Deleted?  I take it that you meant to say removed.

OK.

Then I suggest using RUFUS to create the Windows 10 installation flash from an already downloaded ISO file.

If you really want help, kindly cooperate by answering all of the questions that I have in regard to your notebook and what you have done.

Did you go into the BIOS and change the boot order to make the flash drive first in the storage device order?

That will be necessary. Using RUFUS will make it simple since it will make the flash drive's boot flag active for you.

Hi!
Yes, I physically disconnected the hard drive, and connected the purchased new SSD drive. Initially, it is detected in the BIOS, and on the next reboot, with the BIOS parameters saved, the SSD is no longer detected.
Yes, I went into the BIOS and changed the boot order to make the flash drive first in the order of storage devices.
Of course, I will try to use RUFUS to create an installation flash version of Windows 10.
Thanks for the help.

If you boot a windows installation disk and access the  command line, you will be able to see if the disks in you PC have boot flags or not.

"Open Command Prompt at Boot using Windows 10's setup media
  1. Boot from the Windows installation disk/USB stick with Windows setup.
  2. Wait for the "Windows Setup" screen:
  3. Press Shift + F10 keys together on the keyboard. This will open the command prompt window:"

There are four SSD disks, as seen in the command line image below, of the PC I am typing this on.

Only one of the  SSD devices has a boot flag, as the list volume command shows in the Info column.

For an SSD to be bootable, it must have a disk letter, in this case it is C, otherwise it will be a data disk.

Once you are done with the comand line, just type exit to leave diskpart and then once more to depart the command line itself.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks a lot Erico, i made a flash drive using Rufus, the system is installed, everything is fine! Only now it remains to download and install the drivers. Which is what I'm trying to do now.
