i have a hp 15-db0011dx and i an upcoming computer technician i would like to know if this specific model can support a 16gb soddim stick of ram before i buy one.

Your machine is a low end machine which has one slot of RAM and supports 8GB max. Currrently is has 4GB of RAM. Please use RAM from the following link
