Processor is socketed and replaceable but the best tested compatible processor is:
Intel Quad Core i7-4900MQ 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.80-GHz) processor (1600-MHz
FSB, 8.0-MB L3 cache, 47 W)
723523-001
The i7-4980hq is not the correct configuration to fit in the socket on your motherboard in any event.
