Two weeks ago I received a message through Hp assistant saying my battery needed to be replaced 40 and something about a fuse, I ran 3 different diagnostic tools including a component test. All indicated that the battery needed replacement. I kept monitoring the charge daily which went as low as 83%. I contacted hp about a replacement but they did not carry it, They referred me to a company called Impact, and was able to purchase for $90 dollars including shipping and a two-year warranty. I should receive it tomorrow, Today I checked the status using the same 3 diagnostic tools, and ironically all state 100% charged normal. Any idea what's going on? I can't believe I'm spending that kind of money only to find the battery is charging as it should. I will probably keep the new battery since it is no longer stocked by HP and impact Company only had one. Any advice would be appreciated.
