I am trying to put a SSD in a hp envy notebook - 17t-s000 cto laptop. I am unable to get the laptop apart. Does anyone know any way to get the laptop taken apart?

It is not your exact model, but it is for the same series.  I suggest that you use a towel or some other covering to protect your laptop while taking it apart.
