Hello all!
I'm having some battery problems with my hp laptop 14-bp1xx - I get a black screen when I start it up saying "The Battery is exhausted and will need to be replaced"
I just wanted to ask which replacement battery should I get? What model no/specifications will I require?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the replacement battery.
You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link.
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from, here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

The Battery on this HP Laptop 14 is BATT 3Cell 3.6Ah LI and the part number is 920070-855
As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to order the Battery. HP provides repair or service options for out of warranty products as well. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support for out of warranty service options.
Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
Follow the instructions below to reach them:
1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web form and proceed further.

Hi thank you for getting back to me.
I followed the steps you provided but was unable to find out how to contact someone directly. I entered my product, serial number and country (UK) but there was no other information to help me. What chat are you referring to the "Virtual" chat? I tried that and it didn't provide me with anything!
Is there an email address I can contact? I am based in the UK if that helps.
