Thanks for letting me know about the compatibility.I also had a case id for the adapter issue from HP customer support.If they can't replace it,i will be trying with the alternative one i was linking here,since you mentioned it's just the same .

Yes that was exactly what i was thinking,sorry that i didn't mention i was under the warranty period.If they don't have the exact spare part number designated on the AC adapter,or appear to don't have stock,i would be left with only the last option,which is to try the other smart AC adapter

Yes, and also HP will be responsible if the charger is wrong or correct.

They may want the entire laptop and charger for the warranty work which is normal. They will check the battery also and make sure its not damaged.
