Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, a quick question.  My hp pavilion had a problem with its video card (the radeon got broken because the heat i guess).

So the only way to keep my laptop work normally was to switch off that card's hardware and only use the hp main video card. If not the laptop can start only on safe mode.

Now the problem is that. I installed a regulard windows 10, and i did the same switch off for the video card  but, it doesnt work . The laptop with windows 10 work only on safe mode as before,

So i guess i am not able to switch off in the correct way the video card .

can someone help me step by step?

i need to totally block the radeon video card to avoid the problem at the core.

We cannot really intelligently comment on the problem unless you provide the full model number. Just generally on switchable graphics it is not possible to "turn off" the discrete chip. The integrated video chip and the dedicated video chip work together and neither one works right if there is a problem with either one. But there may be another way to get  at this if you provide the model number and the Windows version (10?) you are trying to run.

Hello, my windows version is the 10 pro

my laptop is hp pavilion dv7

As i said before , what i did on the windows 7 was just to switch off the radeon video card so the laptop worked normally.

With windows 10 i dont know how to do it, or better i did but doesnt work here.

so i am asking to to stop, block or any other way to not make the radeon block my pc at start.
