Might seem obvious ( scary) -- press Stop
If the system does not show progress over a reasonable amount of time, it is not going to do so.
Consider removing the current copy of the HPSA and reinstalling it.
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >
Scroll down, find, Uninstall the HP Support Assistant
After the uninstall is completed, Restart the computer and log in
Download:
- If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator and install.
HP PCs - Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7)
HP PCs - Troubleshooting HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 😎
Reminder:
- You can choose to select one or more updates at a time instead of piling all into the queue.
- If you find an update that just won't cooperate, don't use the HPSA to install that driver / software.
