Hello, I have an HP Victus 15-fa3000d1x with an i5-12450H and the GTX1650. I put the laptop to sleep this morning, and it remained in sleep mode for about 4 hours. Now, when I try to turn on the laptop, nothing happens, while both the power button and charging light are blinking slowly but continuously. Not even the fans come on. The laptop had absolutely no issues before this; it was working perfectly fine, even in the morning.

I tried long-pressing the power button, but it did not respond. I also tried long-pressing the power button and the F2/F6/F10 keys, but still received no response from the laptop.

Any help? Is the motherboard fried or sth?

@fas6, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Here are step-by-step troubleshooting steps to help recover your laptop:

Perform a Hard Reset

This is the most effective fix in many similar cases.

Disconnect the AC adapter/charger.

Unplug any peripherals (USB devices, headphones, etc.).

Press and hold the power button for 30–60 seconds.

Make sure you hold it long enough — the system may be locked in an unresponsive state.

Now, plug in only the charger.

Try to power on the laptop again.

Try BIOS Recovery Mode

If it’s not powering on but the lights blink, it might be stuck during POST or firmware lock-up.

Disconnect charger and press Win + B, then while holding them, press and hold Power for 10–15 seconds.

Release all keys and wait.

If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the prompts.

Check Blink Code Meaning

HP devices use blink patterns to indicate hardware errors. From your description:

You may refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
