i have a 7 year old hp notebook that has 8gb of ram and i wanted to upgrade the ram, but i do not know thw maximum amount i can put in it so i could get the most out of the laptop beacuse i use it for gaming and 8gb ram wasnt enough

8gb ram
224 gb ssd (upgraded)
AMD A10 9600P quad core cpu
AMD radeon r5 graphics

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates your notebook can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz memory that will run at 1866 MHz:
