I'm having the same issue, with same model laptop. Just received it on the Aug. 16th (2021), HP hardware diagnostics shows failed, but without any failure ID code. HP sent me replacement 65W AC Adapter, but I'm having the same issue with the new part.

just got the 90 w ac adapter for the computer geek squad at best buy said at the 65w was a little low for the computer so the 90w works great with it the message doesn't pop up and the computer doesn't over heat and it run smoothly ive been checking the battery and running multiple diagnostic too nothing out the ordinary but I'll keep you updated if anything changes

Interesting.
Is the 90W AC Adapter generic or HP brand?
Also any chance you have any or all of the same customizations that I ordered with mine?:
4K UHD display
i7-1165G7 core
1TB SSD
32 GB SRAM
I'm going to update my case with HP tech support with this information.
Thanks for replying...
