See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information:

Maintenance and Service Guide

All processors listed in the manual run the memory at a maximum speed of 2400 MHz.

You can install DDR4-2400 CL17, DDR4-2666 CL19 or DDR4-3200 CL22 memory chips but they will all run at 2400 MHz.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Another question, and excuse me, what is the maximum memory capacity it can support and what is recommended...

You're very welcome.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB.

However, if your notebook has an AMD Ryzen processor, those will normally support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

You can run this command to see what Windows indicates what your PC's maximum supported memory is:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Recommended memory for 8 GB:

Crucial 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial.com

Recommended memory for 16 GB (if the report indicates your notebook can support 2 x 16 GB of memory):

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

Crucial 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT16G4SFD824A | Crucial.com

The command wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity gives me error description = invalid namespace, I don't know if the command doesn't work for me because I have my laptop in Spanish or because I have Windows 11

It works for W11.

I don't know why it isn't working.

Without being able to run that command, I suggest you follow the guidance in the service manual.

I have already read the manual because it tells me that the maximum memory allowed is 16, my question is: is this manual that you provided me the same for my HP 87D1 (FP5) motherboard?
Another thing, the WMIC console stopped working for Windows 11, that's why I couldn't enter that command, now they work with PowerShell but I still don't know the command for the maximum memory

There is only one service manual, and it covers the entire 15-gw0000 model series.

If your notebook has an AMD Ryzen processor, it has two memory slots and as I had replied yesterday, normally Ryzen processor motherboards will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

I see many models covered under the 2K5C1AV product number, and the ones I looked at indicated that the motherboards have a Ryzen 3 3300U processor.

Like this one for instance:

HP PartSurfer

That's all you need to know.

If you can't find a way to get Windows to report that using Powershell or the command prompt go with the 2 x 8 GB amount.

I never had a problem using the command prompt so I can't help you with that, and I googled the powershell info and it seems very obscure to me.

In other words, I did not find a straight answer for what command to run to get the max memory supported by the motherboard.
