Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

Pages 41-47 show removal of the service bay door and replacement of the hard drive. Just install the SSD in place of the hard drive. You can remove the mSSD drive. It is not useful with a main SSD drive. It was designed only to speed up a regular mechanical drive.

Do you have a Windows 10 installation disk? You can download an image file and create a Windows 10 DVD or thumb drive installation media from the Media Creation Tool Microsoft webpage.

Post back so I can see if you are with us here. We can take this a bit at a time rather than my writing War and Peace and you not understanding something.

First of all, thank you for support.

Yes, I have windows 10 pro installation disk. Can  i use msata SSD  with main SSD drive?  or Is possible to install windows on msata SSD (256gb),  does my system allow windows installation msata ssd?

HP Recommended

No. Forget the mSSD. It is not going to be able to be used as the bootdisk if you have another SATA disk in the laptop. It is no faster than a 2.5 inch SATA SSD anyways.

What about AHCI mode in my notebook, to change it. Since I was unable to find any option related to it.

Maximum SSD and ram size my notebook support?

can you recommend any ssd for my notebook?

Your laptop is set to RAID mode which is AHCI compatible. You may need to load a RAID driver during Windows installation.

Any SSD on the market 2.5 inch SATA will work. 16 gigs is max memory. All spelled out in the Manual.

2.5 SSD 7mm will fit in 9.5 HDD place since bracket is made of rubber so there are no screws in it as picture shows below

hdd bracket

No screws but posts and yes, a 7mm is designed to fit in place of a 9.5 mm but not always vice versa on thinner laptops.

Do I need buy bracket for notebook model?
