More description of the Port:

NOTE: Cables and/or adapters (purchased separately) may

UISB-C port can support Alt-DP output without being fully Thunderbolt compliant. So it will drive an external DP monitor but not an eGPU for example.

No, I don't know what that info means.

All I know is you should be able to use a USB-C to display port adapter to support an external monitor according to the manual.
