Hello, I have a z 820 workstation and would now like to upgrade the Cpu. However, only the old Intel E5 chips are displayed which are not powerful enough for me. I would like to use the amd 5 5600, but I don't know if it is compatible. Does anyone know if it works? Or alternatives in the 100 Euro range?

Hi:

 

No AMD processors old or new are compatible with the z820 workstation.

 

Below is the link to the HP z820 Quickspecs which has the list of supported Intel processors:
