Hi @DiquanG,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re trying to find out if your HP Chromebook has a keyboard backlight. Let’s check a few things to confirm that.

a. Try the Keyboard Shortcut

On most HP Chromebooks, the keyboard backlight can be turned on or adjusted using the Alt + brightness-up key (⤒) or a key with a small keyboard/lighting icon.

Tap it once or press repeatedly to see if the keys light up.

b. Look for the Backlight Icon on the Keys

Check the top row or function keys for a symbol that looks like a glowing keyboard or light rays.

If there’s no such icon, your model may not have a backlit keyboard.

c. Check in Chromebook Settings

Click the time at the bottom-right > Settings (⚙️) > Device > Keyboard.

If your Chromebook supports keyboard lighting, you’ll see an option to adjust keyboard brightness here.

d. If None of These Options Appear

Then your Chromebook likely does not come with a backlit keyboard feature.

I hope this helps.
