Hi @GUBLU1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your  HP laptop is indicating that the battery status is weak, you can follow these steps to arrange a replacement:

Check Warranty Status:

  • Verify if your laptop or battery is still under warranty. You can do this by visiting the HP Warranty Check page and entering your laptop's serial number.

Battery Calibration:

  • Calibrate the new battery by charging it to 100%, then letting it discharge completely to 0% before charging it again without interruption. This can help enhance the battery's performance.

Power drain

  • First shut it down and disconnect all peripherals and the AC adapter.
  • Then press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to clear residual power

Replacing the battery can help restore your laptop's portable functionality and improve its operating time.

Take care and have an amazing day!
