My husband's laptop display cuts in and out when the lid is moved, I don't know where to find the display cable.  Does someone have a good diagram or suggestion as to what I should check?

Hi @ldjhaiku,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your husband's laptop may be experiencing an issue with the display cable, which might be causing the display to cut in and out when the lid is moved. Here's a general suggestion on how you can address this:

Check the Display Cable Connection:

  • The display cable connects the laptop's motherboard to the screen. When the lid moves, it can sometimes cause the cable to loosen.
  • You might need to remove certain components to access the display cable, which is usually found near the hinge of the laptop screen.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
