I am looking for assistance with repairing a broken hinge on HP Pavilion laptop purchased in 2/16/2019, along with a 3 year Pickup and Return with accidental damage protection for consumer notebooks. HP seems to think I do not have a warranty so I initiated a case on 12/30/21 to dispute the warranty records. I have yet to receive a response from HP and there appears to be no way to contact them directly for an update. The hinge is not functioning and the laptop is stuck in the open position. The laptop will not close and will likely cause more damage if trying to force it to close. Some type of hinge repair is needed and I am desperate for HP to acknowledge the 3 year care pack I purchased, which I assume would cover the hinge suddenly to break. Does anyone have any advice on how to contact HP about warranty status or have experienced a similar issue with their laptop hinges stop working? Thanks

@Misstina -- I initiated a case on 12/30/21 (Thursday)
Are you living south of the Equator? That date is among the hottest days of the year, in places like Australia and New Zealand.
I see pictures of "Santa Claus on Bondi Beach after delivering his Xmas presents".
In 2021, since January 1 fell on a Saturday, many people took Monday January 3 as the "alternate" statutory holiday.
So, companies like HP might be "backlogged" and/or "short-staffed" throughout this whole week.
It seems like you have been in contact with HP Support. Please have some patience.
