Respected HP
Myself Ankur Tripathi owner of HP omen series laptop. I would like to tell my story of pain, disbelief, and unworthiness form the day I purchased the laptop. As you must be knowing that to purchase an omen series laptop one has to pay a huge amount of money plus to invest in it you need to convince other of its reliability.
So when I bought my laptop I was in my last year of graduation and the main purpose of mine to buy a laptop was to carry out campus placement related work efficiently but unfortunately, this dream of mine was not fulfilled as I had to deal with many of software and hardware issues. I registered a complaint about this software issue ( Case Number [Personal Information Removed]) and hopefully, for the time being the problem was resolved therefore I accepted to close this case. But after a few days, I was surrounded by more issues and now it was from the hardware side so again I had to generate a new case id all this was happening when my placements were going on.
In this crucial time, I had to ask my friends for there laptop, it felt like being impotent. What was happening with my laptop was that when I turn on the power button it will light up for a few seconds and then the whole system switches off with an awful sound. Now if you have to start the laptop there is only one way to start it that is by plugging in the adapter. The thing that frustrates me a lot was that it won't turn on if it is charged to 70-80% only when more than 80%. When I discussed this issue with HP support they told me that maybe the issue is related to the motherboard so you might have to replace it. I was confused and felt cheated because all this was happening within a year I purchased it ...and thought what will happen after a year? But somehow I convinced myself and waited for the part.
Woefully the pandemic came and all plans were shattered, I knew it was hard to resolve my issue in this calamity. So I waited with great hopes that my issues will be resolved as soon as the motherboard is replaced. Finally, the day came when I received a call from an engineer that my part is with them. I met with the engineer and he replaced my so-called faulty motherboard with the new one and the case was held under observation. I thought that my laptop will start working normally but the issue was still there and now I was really upset. On the other side, I was at my home so I was being scolded every day because from starting I was advised to not to buy such an expensive laptop but somehow I convinced them by saying that the company is reliable and they have good serviceability if somethings went wrong but now I doubt my decision.
I reported to the engineer that the issue is not resolved and then he again opened my laptop to see what the problem was. Now I was told that the issue is with the battery and we need to replace it. There was no other alternative with me, so I have to trust the engineer and go with his solution and then again I waited for the battery. Here the problem was not about waiting but for the solvation of my issue. Now I was not sure that will the battery change is going to help in resolving my issue but still, what can I do. At last, the battery was changed and the result that I saw was devastating because now different kinds of issues started arising.
First of all, it was showing an alert of non-hp battery, and now if press power button there was no response, not even the power light was turning on. Many more issues were happening randomly and I don't know what exactly was happening but one thing was clear that I can not bear this laptop anymore. Being a customer of such a prestigious and well-reviewed company I think I deserve replacement of my laptop and I seriously don't want to add why I am asking for it. I humbly request you to pls verify my case with the engineer assign to me and I have even sent him the snaps and video regarding the various issue.
Only Facts ( tried to keep my emotions apart)
new case no. [Personal Information Removed]
I think its been more than 100 days but there is no improvement only failures. Around 6-7 times my laptop is fully opened. First to replace the motherboard but it won't work so again to place my original one. Same thing with battery and two more times with both motherboard and battery. It felt like my laptop is being engineered and who can think that all this is happening within a year.
At last , I would like to urge you to kindly provide me what I deserve as an faithful customer. There was no other way for me to contact you that’s why I chose this medium and I hope my issue will be seen with great concern .
Yours Faithfull Customer
Ankur T
