I have an update on my HP laptop that has the broken hinge and the screen that is separating. I received a call late yesterday from the escalation specialist. She said that she fought for me and they are going to pay for the whole repair. She said there were tech notes from when I first called that I was fearful of shutting the computer to put it in the box to mail back to HP because it was going to cause it to break more. I am now just waiting for the repair to be completed and my computer to be returned to us. If I have any other updates once it is returned I will post them here. I am happily surprised with such a positive outcome.
