i have purchased a hp envy 2in1 laptop 14 inch and i opened it over the weekend and the left hinge is not flat it it crooked (the right corner of the left hinge goes inwards). i know now that hp 360 laptops have a common fault with the hinge and the idea of the laptop screen coming off when im doing university work is making me extremely anxious. i have exams soon and cant afford to buy a new laptop or wait a long time for this to be fixed . im not sure what to do , if i should return the laptop or if something else can be done . can someone please advice as my anxiety is through the roof as this laptop was expensive and my learning difficulties mean i have to start revising for my exams immediately. also now I'm terrified to use the 360 feature believing if i turn it into tablet mode it may make the hinge worse
The laptop works fine and the hinge is not making any sounds. But i cant afford to have any issues in the future due to this hardware error and the anxiety i get from the idea that the hinge can break or come off at any time is making it very hard to revise and im really struggling to cope with the stress of this laptops issue alongside my exams . Can someone please guide me on what I should ideally do next. I am New to the forum, appreciate any support.
