looking for optimal RAM type on a motherboard OMEN 838F 40.28

Hí everyone, this is my first post, i spect no to be too nub on all this

I am a student of architecture and i wan to lera a bit more about how to choos the best RAM or my computer which is the OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx and have a 838F 40.28 motherboard in which im currently practicing rendering and when i have some big scenes the RAM is not sufficient and the whole system freezes (just 8GB).

I have been making research on the subject and the only things i can be sure is that i have to buy 2 memories instead of 1 (with higer capacity), and that have to be preferably both whit the same caracteristics. I think i have to look for some limit on the rates and stuff but idk how to do it and im here asking for help.
