Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Loose FFC Cable for Power Switch and USB Port on HP Pavilion g4-1303au Notebook PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If the FFC (Flat Flexible Cable) for the power switch and USB port near the power port of your HP Pavilion g4-1303au Notebook PC is loose or disconnected, you can follow these steps to securely reconnect or replace the cable:

Preparation Before Disassembly

  1. Power Off and Unplug: Ensure the notebook is turned off and unplugged from any power source.
  2. Remove Battery: If applicable, remove the battery for safety.
  3. ESD Precautions: Use an antistatic wrist strap or regularly touch a grounded metal surface to discharge any static electricity.

Tools You Might Need

  • Small Phillips screwdriver
  • Plastic pry tools or spudger
  • Tweezers

Steps to Reconnect or Replace the Loose FFC Cable

Remove the Back Cover:

  • Locate the screws on the bottom of the notebook.
  • Remove all visible screws.
  • Use a plastic pry tool to gently lift off the back cover.

Locate the FFC Cable:

  • Look for the FFC cable connecting the power switch and USB port to the motherboard.
  • The cable may be near the power port.

Inspect the Cable:

  • Check for any visible damage or wear on the cable.
  • Make sure the cable is not crimped or pinched

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
