Hi, I just wondering if I can upgrade my old HDD with this one SSD Samsung 970 PRO.

 

I have reading what this model m7-n101dx use M.2 2280 and I think yes.

Hello, your PC appears to support m.2 SATA3 SSD, you can see it in page 2 on your maintenance manual:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04696907

However the 970 Pro is an m.2 PCIe NVMe and your PC can't support this because this format don't exist when your PC was made. So I recommend to you choose an m.2 SATA SSD same Samsung 860 EVO m.2, or Crucial MX500. 

If you want more informations about compatibilities you can try the test on the Crucial website: 

http://crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner
