Hello KCHEMAPRIYA.
What is the full product number for your notebook? This document can show you where it is located. I will use this information to try and locate the latest BIOS update for you.
Have a great day!

ok so I have a hp pavilion sleekbook 15 I bought off ebay and was told its perfect condition blah blah blah, anyway I have this issue with it, I've tired updating the bios and nothing.. I've called hp and they ask me what the serial number is I give it to them and they say my product is invalid, and they can't help me unless I give them a valid serial number lol what a joke, I would love to know where I can take this to get fix I know a faster fix is to just buy a new MB but thats like 200 dollars or better, so if there is any fix for this please let all of us pawns know Thanks

I just bought a brand new HP certified motherboard for my HP ENVY DV7 7230us notebook PC and the same message appears at post. It also wouldn't install the rescue disks I burned when I first got the machine. I had to install win 7 and then purchase an upgrade to 8.1 from Microsoft. Thankfully I was able to use to original drivers for Win 8 and found a HP laptop similar to mine with the same motherboard and features from HP support/drivers for win 7. Works like before except in secure mode which doesn't load. Legacy only. Yes I would really like to get rid of this message at post and use it in secure mode but don't want to send it out to HP. The board was over $200 and not worth it to send it out. Only 4 months out of warranty which really sucks. The machine fell while it was on and cracked the screen and fried to graphics chip.

So everyone is aware. The only fix available for this is to send the laptop back to HP. The message means that the laptop hasn't finished being setup by HP and only they can fix it. There's nothing you can do yourself, just put it in the post, be patient and you'll get a working one back. We did the same and it was turned around really quickly (inside of 2 weeks).
HTH
