Hi:

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the max is 2 x 4 GB of memory, which can't be right.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 250 G7 Notebook PC

Run this command...

Windows users can determine the maximum RAM capacity in the Command prompt with the command below.

It gives the final value in kilobytes which can be converted to gigabytes (divide the value by 1048576 to convert KB to GB).

Run the Command prompt app as administrator.

Then run the following command.  You can copy and paste the line from here.

Hello

Thank you for your quick response and time

your answer was clear and simple

This is insane 32gb max

I guess for i3 DDR4 2133

for i5 and i7 DDR4 2400

if not mistaken

You're very welcome.

The Intel 7th gen core processors run the memory at 2133 MHz.

The Intel 8th gen core processors run the memory at 2400 MHz.

It will be perfectly fine to run DDR4-2400 memory in your notebook, but it will only run at 2133 MHz.

If you can get this memory in Turkey, I would recommend this 16 GB part number for your PC.

Crucial 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT16G4SFD824A | Crucial.com

If you want to install 2 x 8 GB of memory, then this would be the compatible part number...

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial.com

Please note that the Crucial memory report indicates that only 2 x 8 GB of memory is supported.

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp business notebooks | HP 250 G7 (Intel Core i7/ i5/ i3) ...

What you may want to do is to buy just one 16 GB chip for now, add it to the existing memory chip and if the PC boots up, works fine, and it reports the right amount of memory, then it should be safe to buy the second 16 GB chip to max it out to 32 GB.
