Hello to everybody

i have this laptop and contact hp support here in Greece and told me memory is 1.5 volt -i want to keep using win7 but 64bit if possible, my current ram is 2+1g so i prefer to go to 6 or 8g but want be compatible for sure, in a shop i was told that with win7 even if i put more memory it want see it, is it true? what can i do? i will also put ssd hard drive on it

Hi:

 

The max memory is 2 x 4 GB.

 

If you run a 64 bit operating system on your notebook, Windows will see and use most of the 8 GB of memory.

 

Maybe the guy in the shop was thinking you were going to keep the 32 bit operating system on there?   

 

In which case, he would be right.

 

It is very hard to find the right memory for your notebook.

 

It can't be DDR3-12800, it can't be 1.35V, and it has to have 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.

 

It would need to be DDR3-10600, 1.5V, non-ECC, unbuffered, 8 black chips on each side of the circuit board.
