Need exact model...Zbook 14 G2? And also what processor do you have?

AS we have properly understood your issue you want to increase  the ram of your computer in unbuntu opearting system?

PLease follow these steps:

First, shut down your computer and unplug all of the cables connected to it. Then remove the side of the computer case so you can access the motherboard. The RAMslots are adjacent to the CPU socket. Look for the big heat sink at the top of the motherboard, and you'll see either two or four memory slots next to it.

This is a laptop not a desktop. There is no "side of the computer case".

PLease  read this information proprerly:

  1. Find Out If Your Computer Needs More RAM.
  2. Find the Right Kind of Memory.
  3. Open the Panel to Locate Your Memory Banks.
  4. Ground Yourself to Avoid Electrostatic Discharge.
  5. Remove Any Memory in the Upper Slot.
