HI,

Can you please tell me how many memory slots are on this model i would like to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB.

Also, what is the correct memory spec for 8GB.

Thanks

Its the i5 version right? So it has two slots and takes DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM.

Your Service Manual

Pages 39-46 show how to remove the back cover and access the RAM slots.

HP Part No. for 4 gig module:

4-GB 862397-855

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Single-PC4-19200-Unbuffered-260-Pin/dp/B019FRDKWI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&...

Just add one of the above in the open slot. You can have 2 x 8 or even 2 x 16 for 32 gigs total if your budget permits. 8 gigs will be plenty for most computing uses.

Hi,
Thanks for the speedy reply,
Yes it is the i5 model so I'll do per your suggestion.

Quick question though, whats the difference between
DDR4-2133 and DDR4-2400 listed in the manual and on ebuyer.com?

Greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks

DDR4-2400 is potentially faster but in this case the laptop uses DDR4-2400 "bridged" to 2133 speed. I would still get 2400 modules but assuming you will replace both modules you could likely install 2133. I just don't want to advise you to install parts not specified in the Manual.
