You're very welcome.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the original AMD graphics driver from your notebook's support page.

You may want to go back to 22H2 and use this same driver:

HP Notebook - 15-f305dx Software and Driver Details

If that works, don't let Windows update install a newer version of the driver.

You can do that by running the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

Run the utility.  It should find any pending AMD graphics driver updates pending to install.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Close out of the utility and restart the PC.

The graphics driver update should not reappear, which I believe may be the cause of the mouse not working properly.

You need this driver for the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter:

AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver (Windows 10):

21.19.414.1280

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81501-82000/sp81523.exe

PCI Device:

Realtek Card Reader Driver(Windows 10)

10.0.370.192

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88501-89000/sp88575.exe

Unknown Device:   Post the hardware ID for the device so I can figure out what driver it needs:

thank you for your response - I rolled back Windows 10 update from 22H2 to 21H2 which changed my problems to

1. start and pause jerky mouse movements which makes it very difficult to work

2. start and pause repeatedly with video playback

I checked drivers on HP support which returned message that drivers were up to date.

Problem has been going on since updating Windows to 22H2. Perhaps I should roll back prior to 21H2 but that may cause more problems.

I was able to fix the mouse and video problems briefly but Windows automatic updates killed that - and I don't remember how I did it. Any help is appreciated.
