Hi,
The following links shows specs of your machine:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02861753
And it uses PC board (motherboard part number 653087-001 as shown:
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=LW259UA
Now you are trying to use a TOTALLY different motherboard and different CPU that why it won't fit . 636375 is not a complete part number. Asuming it is 636375-001, there are 98 models/products use this board including many g6's:
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=636375-001
Regards.

thank
yes i was using the hp g6 replacement part manual and it gives all accepable replacement parts for the series. I was just thinking the only difference would be between the amd cpu and intel and if you have an intel board all of the bolts should line up. Not an issue will just find the botttomcase now thanks for the link on the models. much appreciated.
