Hi @nicole21724,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion x360 - 14 touchpad is not working and there's no touchpad option in your settings, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Enable the Touchpad
- Press Fn + F7 (or the relevant key with the touchpad icon) to toggle the touchpad.
- Check if the touchpad works after enabling it.
Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers
Check Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for Mice and other pointing devices or Human Interface Devices.
- Check for entries like "Synaptics Touchpad" or "ELAN Touchpad."
- If you don’t see any, proceed to the next step.
Install Missing Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Customer Support page.
- Enter your laptop's serial number or model.
- Download and install the latest touchpad driver for your laptop.
Update Drivers Automatically:
- Right-click the touchpad entry in Device Manager (if present).
- Select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
Reinstall the Driver:
- If the touchpad driver is present, right-click it and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the touchpad driver.
Enable Touchpad in BIOS
- Restart your laptop and press F10 or Esc (as indicated) to enter the BIOS/UEFI.
- Look for Touchpad Settings under Advanced or similar.
- Ensure the touchpad is enabled.
- Save changes and restart your laptop.

Check Windows Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to Devices > Touchpad:
- If the touchpad settings are missing, this indicates a driver issue (refer to Step 2).
- If visible, ensure the touchpad toggle is set to On.
Perform a Windows Update
- Press Windows + I, go to Update & Security, and check for updates.
- Install all available updates, including optional driver updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
