Its a 2280 form factor (most common) M.2 SSD as you say either SATA or NVME. The storage capacity has no hardware limit so you can use a 4 TB if you wish. The slot is located alongside the battery as shown:

Its a PCIe Gen 3.0 device. You can use a Gen 4.0 but it will downclock to Gen 3.0 speeds. This model would work fine:

Thanks a lot for your reply. It is really helpful. One another concern is , do i need to update any drivers to support the SSD ? My OS is windows 11 home version -23H2 and do i need to reinstall windows after installation? And need to disconnect from battery while installation?
Thank you in advance

Yes any time you open the laptop to make hardware changes you need to disconnect the battery cable first thing. There should be no need to update any drivers. Are you adding the NVME for additional storage or do you plan to do a new install of Windows 11 onto it? If so, you may need an NVME driver that you load off a thumb drive during OS installation. Post back with your answer and we can help you find the right driver file and installation instructions.
